UV DTF AB Film Explained: When to Use It for Hard-Surface and Promotional Printing

What Is UV DTF AB Film?

UV DTF AB film is a two-layer transfer system for hard surfaces. The A film carries the printed and laminated design; the B film is the adhesive backing you press onto the substrate. Unlike classic DTF (fabric only), UV DTF needs no heat press and no weeding for most items.

Where It Wins

  • Phone cases, laptop shells, power banks — full-color, scratch-resistant.
  • Metal, wood, glass, acrylic — promotional gifts and signage.
  • Small batches — no screen setup, no minimums.
